LEGO Moon Knight Costume
LEGO Moon Knight was a costume I planned for my daughter to wear during Tidewater Comicon 2022. This costume was made at the same time I was working on the Mighty Thor statue, Kenobi statue, and my wife’s LEGO Buzz Lightyear costume during the 2 months leading up to the convention. Since my daughter was still at college and unavailable for fittings, I planned to do this costume last but my plans changed just 3 weeks before the show. On April 27th, the showrunners for Tidewater Comicon reached out to me to see if I had something available for a morning TV show. Since my wife couldn’t get off work, my only option was this LEGO Moon Knight costume. My daughter was still at college for another week so I to start working on this without her. |

The easiest part to make without needing a fitting was the hands. I started with a PVC pipe that I cut open and heated to form the inner shape of the hand. I then use foam to form a cavity to slip over a person’s hand like a mitten. On the Moon Knight costume in the show, there’s a neat woven pattern on the gauntlets that I wanted to include. Using 2mm strips of foam, I was able to glue and weave this onto the gauntlet. | ||
